Who we are
FolioLens is a portfolio tracking and analytics application. FolioLens is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, bank, tax adviser, or custodian, and does not execute trades or hold customer assets.
References to “FolioLens”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms refer to the entity operating the FolioLens service. Our registered details are available on request by emailing info@foliolens.app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use FolioLens. By using the service, you confirm that your use complies with applicable law in your country or region.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, notify us immediately at info@foliolens.app.
What FolioLens does
FolioLens lets you track investment accounts, holdings, transactions, dividends, cash balances, and related analytics using data you provide directly or data retrieved through third-party connections such as SnapTrade.
We may add, remove, or change features from time to time without prior notice, though we will aim to communicate material changes in advance where practicable.
No investment advice
FolioLens is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on FolioLens constitutes investment, legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other asset. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions.
Third-party connections
If you connect a brokerage or other financial account via SnapTrade or another integration, you authorise us and our service providers to access and process account data on your behalf for the purpose of providing the service. Third-party services, brokerages, and data providers have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their services, accuracy, availability, or actions.
Data accuracy and availability
We aim to provide accurate and timely portfolio data, but we do not guarantee that any data, price, transaction history, exchange rate, tax figure, or performance metric will always be complete, accurate, current, or available. Data may be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly categorised, or unavailable due to broker, market, or third-party provider limitations.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the platform, reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law, upload malicious code, or use FolioLens in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
Intellectual property
FolioLens and its content, software, design, branding, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service for your personal or internal business use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our prior written consent.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or others, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or the accuracy of any content or data provided through the service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FolioLens and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, investments, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection or data protection law. If you are located in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer rights, those rights continue to apply in full.
Right of withdrawal (EU/UK)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of the date the paid subscription begins, without giving any reason. This right is granted under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and, in the UK, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
This withdrawal right is separate from and additional to the 14-day free trial. The free trial lets you evaluate FolioLens before paying anything. The right of withdrawal applies once you choose a paid plan and a payment has been taken — you then have a further 14 days to change your mind and receive a full refund.
To exercise this right, send a clear written statement of your decision to withdraw to info@foliolens.app within the 14-day window. Include the email address on your account so we can identify your subscription. You do not need to use any particular form of words; an email saying that you wish to cancel and withdraw is sufficient.
We will refund the full amount you paid for the subscription using the same payment method, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of the day on which we receive your withdrawal notice. Your access to paid features will end when the refund is processed; your data remains in read-only mode in line with our normal post-subscription handling.
We do not require you to waive this right in exchange for immediate access to the service. Your statutory right of withdrawal is preserved in full for the 14 days following the start of your paid subscription, even though you begin using the paid plan straight away.
Nothing in this section limits any longer cancellation or refund period that may apply under your local consumer law.
Subscriptions, auto-renewal and cancellation
FolioLens paid plans are sold as annual subscriptions. When your free trial ends and you choose a plan, payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe, through a Stripe Checkout session. The amount shown at checkout is the full price for one year of the plan you select, in the currency you choose.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription will renew automatically every 12 months on the anniversary of your first paid charge, at the then-current price for your plan, using the payment method on file with Stripe. You will remain subscribed until you cancel. We do not silently change your plan or upgrade you without your consent; price changes will be communicated in advance by email.
How to cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside the app:
- Sign in and go to Account (or Subscription) and click Manage billing.
- This opens the secure Stripe customer portal, where you can choose Cancel subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep full access until that date and are not billed again.
If you prefer, you can also email info@foliolens.app from the address on your account and we will action the cancellation for you within 5 business days.
How to change plan. To upgrade or downgrade between Seed, Grow and Family, open the Subscription page in the app and select the plan you want. Stripe will prorate the difference automatically; your renewal date stays the same. You can also change payment method, update billing details and download invoices from the same Stripe customer portal opened via Manage billing.
After cancellation. When the paid period ends, your account moves to read-only mode: your imported portfolios, transactions and dividend history remain stored and visible, but paid features and write actions are disabled. You can reactivate at any time by choosing a plan again. Deletion of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
The right to a refund within the first 14 days of a paid subscription is covered separately in Section 14 (Right of withdrawal). Outside that window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of FolioLens after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of our registered jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law in your country requires otherwise. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of our registered jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
